If you’re sourcing pot handles in China, you’ll find a lot of trading companies. We’re the actual factory — when you need a custom ear handle for a new pot design, the people making decisions about your mold are the same people packing your shipment.

Most cookware customers come to us with a familiar problem: their current supplier sends handles that look great in the sample photo, but crack at the rivet point after six months. That’s almost always a material issue — a cheaper phenolic blend that saves a few cents per handle. We use a higher-density bakelite that costs us more, but it survives the dishwasher cycle and the stovetop heat without splitting.

Ear Handles vs. Side Handles

An ear handle (or lug handle) is the short, stubby grip that sits flush on low-sided pans and small serving pots, held between thumb and fingers rather than wrapped by a full hand. If your cookware has a shallow wall where a long side handle would overhang, an ear handle is the right call. Most of our ear handles are symmetrical so they look balanced from either side.

For restaurants and heavy-use cookware lines, we also make stainless steel ear handles — the 304-grade version is the most popular, and we can polish, brush, or leave it matte. Mounting is the same as the bakelite line, so you can switch between materials without changing the pot wall design.

The catalog has around 40 standard ear handle shapes. If your design isn’t in there, our tooling team can build a custom mold, and we support smaller runs for new cookware brands still testing the market.

Send us your pot drawing or an existing handle sample and we’ll come back with a price within a working day. If you’re not sure which material to go with, ask for our sample pack — it includes both bakelite and stainless options in the most common sizes so you can test them on your cookware before you commit.
