Premium Wood-Grain Finish: Active Water Transfer Printing for Bakelite Handles

Achieve a Natural Look with Industrial Durability

Water transfer printing (also called hydro-dipping) transfers complex graphics from a flat film onto the 3-D surface of a Bakelite handle using water pressure. This technology gives our high-strength Bakelite handles the warm, organic feel of solid wood or the sleek texture of marble.

Why Choose Our Water Transfer Printing?

  • Realistic Aesthetics: Our process transforms standard black Bakelite into a product that looks like natural timber. It is the perfect choice for brands that want a “natural” style without the high cost or warping risks of real wood .
  • Eco-Friendly Design: We use non-toxic, safety-certified paints and materials. By choosing wood-grain Bakelite over real timber, you help protect forests and reduce the demand for logging .
  • Exceptional Wear Resistance: Our finish stands up to daily kitchen use. It resists scratches, moisture, and high temperatures better than standard surface paint or soft-touch coatings .
  • 360-Degree Coverage: The water pressure wraps the pattern seamlessly around every curve, including the locking levers on our detachable handles (as shown in the images). This ensures a perfect finish with no visible seam lines or “dead corners” .

Our Step-by-Step Precision Process

We follow a rigorous workflow to ensure a permanent bond between the pattern and the handle:

Protective Sealing: Finally, we spray a high-grade varnish (glossy or matte) over the pattern and bake it. This creates a hard, heat-resistant shield that protects the design for years .

Base Preparation: We clean the Bakelite handle and spray a specialized base coat. This color serves as the foundation for the final pattern .

Film Setup: We place a high-definition PVA film on the surface of temperature-controlled water. We then spray an activator solution to liquefy the pattern .

The Dip: We slowly immerse the handle into the water at a precise angle. The water pressure pushes the ink into every contour of the handle, creating a perfect wrap .

Cleaning & Drying: We wash away any residue and thoroughly dry the handle in an industrial oven to set the graphics .
