Anyone in cookware manufacturing knows that a side handle is the part that fails first. The pot itself can last 20 years — the handle is what gives out, usually at the rivet hole, usually right after the warranty expires. We focus on fixing that problem, and the approach is simple: build the handle like you expect it to be dropped, yanked, soaked, and overheated, because it will be.
Our bakelite side handles are tested to 180°C continuous and 220°C short-term (oven use, less than 30 minutes). Pull strength is 80 kg per pair, which is roughly 4x what a full stockpot puts on a single handle during normal use. We don’t quote theoretical numbers — every shipment comes with a test report you can hand to your QC team.
We make two material options so you can spec the right one for each cookware line:
- Bakelite side handles — the standard. Heat-resistant, dishwasher-safe, available in custom Pantone colors and embossed logos. MOQ 500 pairs.
- Stainless steel side handles — 304 grade by default, 201 and 430 on request. Brushed, polished, or matte finish. Same mounting holes as the bakelite line, so you can swap materials without changing the pot tooling.
Standard designs typically run a 3-4 week lead time, longer for custom molds. If you want a free sample pack to test fit on your cookware, just ask.
Send us your existing handle sample or a pot drawing, and we’ll quote within 24 hours.
